What we collect

Newsletter email addresses. When you subscribe, we store your email address, the page section you subscribed from, and the time you subscribed. That's the entire record. We never buy, sell, rent, or trade subscriber lists.

Anonymous analytics. If you accept the cookie banner, an anonymous first-party cookie (_bm_vid) counts pageviews and session timing. It contains no personal information, does not track you across other websites, and no third-party trackers, ad pixels, or fingerprinting are used on this site. Decline the banner and no analytics cookie is set.

Staff accounts. Editors sign in with an email and password (stored hashed). Readers never need an account.

How we use it

Your email is used for exactly one thing: sending you the Angel Investor newsletter. Emails are delivered through our hosting platform's email service (Amazon SES infrastructure). Analytics are used in aggregate to understand what content resonates.

What we don't do

• No selling or sharing of personal data with advertisers or data brokers
• No cross-site tracking, no third-party advertising cookies
• No profiling or automated decision-making about you

Retention and deletion

Subscriber records are kept while your subscription is active. Unsubscribing deletes your email from our list immediately and permanently, we don't keep a "suppression copy" beyond what email-delivery infrastructure requires to honor your opt-out. Analytics data is aggregate and not tied to your identity.

Your rights

Wherever you live (including under GDPR and CCPA/CPRA), you can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data. Because we store so little, the fastest path is usually the unsubscribe page. For anything else, email [email protected] and we'll respond within 30 days.

Where data lives

This site is hosted on the Benmore application platform in the United States. If you access the site from outside the US, your data is processed in the US.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their information.
